ThunderWolves tamed by Mavericks

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (September 7, 2018) – In their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opener, Colorado State University-Pueblo Volleyball came up short in a three-set loss (10-25, 9-25, 16-25) to Colorado Mesa University Friday at Brownson Arena.

Sarah Vang (Jr., Parker, Colo.) led the Pack with six kills in her return to the lineup. Vang also hit .263 to lead Pack starters. She had seven digs as well.

Page Heller (Jr., Vancouver, Wash.) led the Pack with nine digs. ShiAnn Rodriguez (R-So., Pueblo, Colo.) collected eight digs.

Kelsey Bell (Jr., Los Lunas, N.M.) dished out a team-high 12 assists. Eleasah Marshall (Jr., Brenham, Texas) had two kills in two swings off the bench.

Berkley Hays (Fr., Dallas, Texas) swatted a team-high three blocks, but the Mavericks outhit the Pack .365 to .073. The Pack will try to earn its first RMAC win when they visit Western State Colorado University Saturday at 3 p.m.
