PUEBLO, Colo. (October 19, 2017) – After a crucial win Tuesday night, Colorado State University-Pueblo Volleyball will look to build on its momentum as they travel to No. 9 Regis University Friday and clash with Chadron State College on the road Saturday. Friday's match will start at 7 p.m., while Saturday's contest begins at 6 p.m.
ThunderWolves at a Glance:
The ThunderWolves picked up a big four-set win (25-23, 19-25, 25-23, 25-20) Tuesday night over Westminster College. Because of this win, the Pack vaulted up to a tie for 10th place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference standings. CSU-Pueblo sits two games back of Adams State University for the eighth and final RMAC Tournament spot. Chadron State sits in ninth place in the RMAC standings, making the stakes higher for Saturday's match between the Pack and Eagles.
Elena Michalski (Sr., Longmont, Colo.) set a career-high with 49 assists in just four sets against Westminster Tuesday. Michalski earned her eighth double-double of the season with 10 digs in the win over the Griffins.
Melissa Nichols (Jr., McKinney, Texas) also enters the weekend off of a career-high performance Tuesday. Nichols spiked down 16 kills. Nichols has hit .313 in each of her last two matches.

Outlook: The Eagles have lost two straight after being swept by Adams State Saturday and No. 20 Wayne State College Tuesday. Facing Wayne State the ThunderWolves took the Wildcats to five sets. Chadron allows opponents to hit .249, the highest average allowed by an RMAC team. A contributing factor is that the Eagles rank last in the conference with 1.04 blocks per set.
