PUEBLO, Colo. (June 12, 2017) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Volleyball will hold four camps at Massari Arena in July to help youth in the Southern Colorado region increase their Volleyball skills.
From July 13-15, the Pack will host a ThunderPups Camp and All Skills Camp. The ThunderPups Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is open to competitors entering grades 4-6. CSU-Pueblo's All Skills Camp runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will be open to seventh, eighth, and ninth graders.
CSU-Pueblo Volleyball's ThunderPups clinic will focus on discovering the basics of volleyball in a fun environment. Kids will learn the sport of volleyball through the use of games and skill appropriate instruction. This clinic is an excellent way for young players to learn more about volleyball. This camp costs $100.
The Pack's All Skills Camp will focus on individual skills of passing, serving and hitting using both drill and small game work. This clinic is an excellent way for young athletes to learn more about volleyball and also costs $100 if campers are registered by July 1.
Pack Volleyball will hold and Elite Skills Camp July 10-12. This camp will give high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors three days to hone their volleyball acumen over seven sessions starting at 1:30 on July 10.
CSU-Pueblo Volleyball campers that participate in the Pack's Elite Skills Clinic will receive lots of playing opportunities and individual positional breakout sessions. A camp T-Shirt and meals are included.
However, overnight campers will need to bring bedding or a sleeping bag as they will be housed in the dorms. They will also need to bring their own equipment for this camp. The Pack's Elite Skills Camp costs $275 for commuters and $400 for overnight campers if registered by July 1.
Finally, the Pack will offer a team camp July 7-8. This camp will be open to high school and junior varsity teams, giving them plenty of playing opportunities over the two days with pool play on July 7 and a double elimination tournament on July 8. This camp costs $275 per team or $80 for an individual camper.
Pack Volleyball Head Coach Jill Muhe will lead the camp. Muhe guided the Pack to their third consecutive Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament in 2016. Assistant Coach Nathan Martell will also help lead campers through drills.
