Pack rolls over New Mexico Highlands

CSU-Pueblo secured a much-needed three-set sweep over New Mexico Highlands Friday, winning 27-25, 25-12 and 25-20.
The ThunderWolves had some lapses at times, but was largely dominant against the Cowgirls as the Pack was tenacious at on the front line. CSU-Pueblo recorded 11 blocks, including a game-high eight by Bernadette Pitre (So., Clifton, Colo.) and turned in a .243 team attack percentage, its second-highest single-match total of the season.
The Pack had standout days from Alea Wildman (So., Denver, Colo.), who turned in a game-high 10 kills two just two errors, Janae Heiser (So., Westminster, Colo.), who nabbed nine kills, and setter Linnea Gingerich (So., Keenesburg, Colo.), who logged a career-high six kills on dinks over the net. She also had 15 assists and four blocks. Libero Ashley Michel (So., Brighton, Colo.) recorded 21 digs.
CSU-Pueblo will look to close out its final weekend of the season with bang when it entertains Western New Mexico at Massari Arena Saturday night.
