Pack women's tennis opened the season with the CSU-Pueblo Duals


PUEBLO, Colo. (Sept. 18, 2017) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's teams began the fall season by hosting the CSU-Pueblo Duals Thursday-Sunday. The ThunderWolves played five matches at Pueblo City Park. 

The Pack suffered a loss in all five matches. The ThunderWolves started the weekend with a 7-2 loss to Fort Hays State and grabbed one team point in each of the final four matches.

Freshman Kali Hamilton (Grapevine, Texas) captured three victories with one at No. 3 singles and two doubles victories at the No. 1 spot. She partnered with junior Nia Matthews (Houston, Texas) for one of those doubles wins and sophomore Acacia Dettman (Perris, Calif.) for the other.

Matthews won her match at No. 1 singles against FHSU, while junior Megan Moore (Pueblo, Colo.) captured the other singles victory of the weekend for the Pack, winning at No. 6.

Dettman also won at No. 2 doubles with sophomore Sarah Megilligan (Pueblo West, Colo.). 

Next the ThunderWolves will enter in the Air Force Invitational, a singles and doubles tournament in Colorado Springs, Colorado Sept. 23-24.
