Pack swimming returns to the pool for a duo of dual meets against UNK and UNC

PUEBLO, Colo. (January 28, 2016) After a two-week hiatus, Colorado State University-Pueblo swimming & diving returns to the pool for two dual meets against both the University of Nebraska-Kearney and the University of Northern Colorado, Friday and Saturday.

The Pack won their last meet, the Colorado College Classic. They will try to earn their fourth and fifth victories this season when they journey to Kearney, Neb. for double duals against both the Bears and the Lopers.

Samantha Sannes (So., Torrance, Calif.) topped the competition in four events at the Colorado College Classic. Sannes' first place finishes in the 200 yard individual medley (2:16.64), the 400 IM (4:53.77), the 500 free (5:24.62) and the mile swim (18:31.10) earned her Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week honors.

The sophomore has 10 individual event wins in her last five meets. Sannes has at least one win in each of her last six competitions.

Friday night's dual will begin at 5 p.m. The Pack will hop back into the pool Saturday at 10 a.m. CSU-Pueblo will compete in the 200 yard events Friday night and continue the meet with 100 yard events Saturday.

The Pack's duals against their RMAC foes, UNK, and their Division I adversaries, the Bears, will be the squad's final tune up before the RMAC Championships Feb. 12-14.
