KANSAS CITY, Mo. (September 11, 2018) - For the first time since the 2016 season, the Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team broke into the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 National Poll, registering at No. 23 after starting the season unbeaten (3-0-1) in nonconference play.
The ranking marks the second time in program history the Pack has been in the national polls during the regular season. In Oct. 2016, the Pack was ranked No. 23 in the same poll.
The Pack opened the 2018 season with two wins on the road at West Texas A&M and Lubbock Christian, respectively. In their home season opener versus Midwestern State the ThunderWolves defeated MSU 3-1 and wrapped nonconference play with a 2-2 tie at home versus Fort Hays State.
The Pack's lineup features seven different players that have scored one goal this season.
CSU-Pueblo is joined in the Top 25 by fellow RMAC-foes Colorado Mines (7th) and MSU Denver (11th).
The Pack open Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play this week with matches Friday at UCCS and Sunday the ThunderWolves will travel to MSU Denver.
