ThunderWolves face tall task at No. 1 seed Regis in RMAC Tournament semifinal

PUEBLO, Colo. (November 2, 2017) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team travels north to play in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals for a second year in a row and take on Regis University Friday at noon at Regis Match Pitch.

The Rangers are the top seed in the tournament and serve as host for the second semifinals matchup between No. 2 Colorado School of Mines and No. 3 UCCS at 3 p.m.

No. 4 seed CSU-Pueblo punched their ticket into the second round after a 1-0 win over MSU Denver Tuesday at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.

RMAC Player of the Year, Mackenzie Bean (Jr., Bothell, Wash.) scored her 13th goal of the year in the 26th minute after taking a shot off a rebound and booted the ball to the right post.

Rianna Lockhart (R-Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) earned an assist on the play.

After the score the dominant midfield and defensive play led by Lockhart and Kylee Sakaguchi (Jr., Apple Valley, Calif.) shut down the Roadrunners' fast front line.

Pack goalkeeper Alexa Eastep (Fr., Henderson, Nev.) made six saves in the win.
