TAOS, N.M. (October 15, 2017) - Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer picked up a crucial 2-0 win on the road Sunday at New Mexico Highlands behind goals from Mackenzie Bean (Jr., Bothell, Wash.) and Danelle Dondelinger (Sr., Louisville, Colo.).
The ThunderWolves netted the first score in the 4th minute on a goal score by Bean, her league leading ninth score of the year.
CSU-Pueblo's offense came alive in its first outing of the week, firing a season high sixteen shots in the first period.
The Pack created two corner kick attempts to the Cowgirl's zero.
In the second period Dondelinger scored her second goal of the season after receiving a ball inside the box off a corner kick taken by Kylee Sakaguchi (Jr., Apple Valley, Calif.) in the 61st minute.
Alexa Eastep (Fr., GK, Henderson, Nev.) picked up her first win at the net, making six saves against NMHU's eight shots.
CSU-Pueblo (5-6-1, 4-3-1 RMAC) stays on the road and travels west to battle at Colorado Mesa Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. and wraps the road trip Oct. 22 at Westminster.
