PUEBLO, Colo. (September 23, 2017) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team returns to the pitch for one game Sunday at noon versus Black Hills State University at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
For the match against BHSU, the ThunderWolves will participate in Play With Pride week, a nationwide initiative from United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA). Our players and coaches will wear rainbow laces. It's our way of sending the message that every person, on every team, is valued and respected.
The Pack continues their season long five-game homestand after going 2-1 last week and was unbeaten during RMAC opening week. The Pack dropped a 1-0 decision Wednesday versus No. 1 Western Washington and rebounded over the weekend with a pair of wins against Fort Lewis and Adams State.
Friday versus FLC the Pack defeated the Skyhawks 1-0 in double overtime on a Rianna Lockhart (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) goal scored in the game's 105th minute.
Sunday's match will be the first of a CSU-Pueblo doubleheader as the men's team takes on Regis at 2:30 p.m. at Gonzales Stadium.
In Sight for the Pack
The ThunderWolves close out the homestand next week and host Colorado Christian (Sept. 29) before embarking on a six-game road trip starting Oct. 1 at Colorado Mines.
