PUEBLO, Colo. (September 7, 2017) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo wome's soccer team hits the road for the first time this season and travels to the Lone Star State for a pair of nonconference games at Midwestern State and Texas Woman's University.
The Pack returns to the pitch after scoring a 2-0 victory over Lubbock Christian Univeristy in the season opener at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
Junior Mackenzie Bean (Bothell, Wash.) netted both goals for the Pack in the first half against the Chaparrals. Danelle Dondelinger (Sr., Louisville, Colo.) earned an assist on one of the goals and helped anchor the defense holding LCU to six shots in the game and two on goal.
Pack goalkeeper Rylie Martin (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) made two saves at the net.
For their efforts the trio was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week; Bean (offensive), Dondelinger (defense), Martin (Goalkeeper).
