PUEBLO, Colo. (August 10, 2017) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team returns to the pitch this week to kickoff the 2017 season campaign after a storybook 2016 season for the ThunderWolves.

The Pack arrive to campus this week and will hold the logistics meeting Sunday in preparation to hitting the ground running Monday morning for the first official day of practice.

The ThunderWolves welcome several newcomers to this year's team including the addition of Head Coach Sierra Cardenas to the sidelines.

During the offseason twelve student-athletes were added to the roster and each will seek to make an immediate impact.

The Pack has several key players returning to the team this season including a pair of First Team All-RMAC selections in Rianna Lockhart (R-Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Jessica Westhoff (Jr., Centennial, Colo.).

The duo helped guide CSU-Pueblo to its first ever NCAA Tournament berth and an appearance in the national ranks.

The 2017 ThunderWolves' team is already earning recognition on a national level as they are receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches' Preseason Poll (formerly NSCAA).
