ThunderWolves shutout at home

PUEBLO, Colo. (Gonzales Complex) – A goal by Fort Lewis College in the final minutes lifted the Skyhawks to a 1-0 win over the Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team Sunday, at the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Soccer Complex.

 A goal by Jessica Singleton in the 82nd minute, between two defenders, gave the Skyhawks the 1-0 edge.

Through the first 45 minutes, CSU-Pueblo played toe-to-toe with Fort Lewis, holding a 6-5 shot advantage.

The two Pack forwards, Kacie Licata (So., Upland, Calif.) and Amanda Jorgensen (Jr., Wailuku, Hawai'i) each helped to control the pace of the game, firing three shots apiece to lead the way.  

The second half played just as even as the first, with both teams matching shot-for-shot. CSU-Pueblo finished with a 13-11 shot advantage.     

Pack goalkeeper Jenn Rucker (Sr., Renton, Wash.) had another good outing, making four saves on eleven shots.

CSU-Pueblo (5-6-2, 3-5-2 RMAC) will next play on the road Friday, at No. 4 Colorado School of Mines. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the CSM Soccer Field.
