DURANGO, Colo. - The ThunderWolves played tough with 12th-ranked Fort Lewis in the 2009 finale Sunday, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Skyhawks.

The ThunderWolves withstood a tenacious Fort Lewis offense, which put up 21 shots compared to just six for the Pack, but was able to turn away the Skyhawks more often than not.  Keeper Randi Walters (Sr., Oxnard, Calif.) had nine saves in the game while midfielder Sarah Deffit (Jr., Bremerton, Wash.) netted the Pack's lone goal on a rebound of the Fort Lewis keeper, which tied the game at 1-1 in the 66th minute.

Fort Lewis pulled away, though, when they netted goals just 45 seconds apart from one another in 69th minute.

CSU-Pueblo finishes the 2009 campaign with a 5-13-2 record and a 4-11-1 mark in RMAC play.
