COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 14, 2018) - Senior Kyle Fantin (Cave Creek, Ariz.) was named Academic All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference First Team Tuesday to guide three Colorado State University-Pueblo wrestling student-athletes on the league's all-academic teams.
Fantin owns a 3.43 GPA in EXHPR (Recreation) and is now a two-time academic first team member. Gathering RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll were Jair Flores (So., Pueblo, Colo.) and Steven Ullman (Sr., Arvada, Colo.). Flores owns a 3.52 GPA in biology and foreign language (Spanish) and Ullman, a three-time honor roll recipient, has a 3.51 GPA in computer information systems and business administration.
The First Team All-Academic team members, were voted on by the conference's sports information directors. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.
All student-athletes who meet those requirements, but were not voted First Team, automatically qualify for Honor Roll.
Finished his senior season with a 16-10 overall record with four falls ... Posted a 9-5 record (1 fall) in dual competition for the second most dual wins on the team this season ... Went 5-2 in RMAC duals to tie for the most RMAC dual wins ... Posted a 10-6 record in his final 16 bouts (Six bonus point wins, while four of the losses were by decision).
