Four wrestlers gather All-RMAC First Team honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 19, 2018) - Four members of the Colorado State University-Pueblo wrestling team have been named All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference First Team, Monday by the league office.

All four members of the fifth-ranked ThunderWolves were crowned champions at the RMAC Championships Feb. 3 in Colorado Springs. Earning first-team recognition were Josiah Seaton (Jr., Bonner Springs, Kan.) at 125, JaCobi Jones (Sr., Omaha, Neb.) at 165, JaVaughn Perkins (So., Omaha, Neb.) at 184 and Cody Johnson (Sr., Broken Arrow, Okla.) at heavyweight. 

Seaton, Perkins and Johnson are first-time all-conference performers, while Jones is not only a four-time All-RMAC First Team recipient, but a four-time RMAC Champion. 

These four and the rest of the Pack head to the NCAA Super Region Four Championships Feb. 23-24 in Las Vegas, New Mexico, hosted by New Mexico Highlands University.

Ranks No. 1 nationally ... RMAC Champion ... All-RMAC First Team ... Has a 7-2 overall record with one fall ... Went 4-0 in dual competition, which includes a 2-0 record against RMAC competition (one fall) ... Has won seven straight bouts ... RMAC Wrestler of the Week (Jan. 9).

HWT JOHNSON

Ranks No. 9 nationally ... RMAC Champion ... All-RMAC First Team ... Owns a 16-8 overall record with a team-high eight falls ... Went 8-5 in dual competition (five falls), which included a 3-2 record against RMAC competition (two falls) ... RMAC Wrestler of the Week (Nov. 14) ... HERO Sports HERO of the Week (Jan. 27).
