COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (September 27, 2018) - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced Thursday that Jolene Kam of the Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Golf team has earned RMAC Golfer of the Week honors.
Kam (Sr., Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia) shot a +1 (145) to finish in a tie for eighth place at the Mustang Intercollegiate. Kam's score and finish were the best of any of the 30 RMAC golfers at the event.
The senior shot a career-best even par 72 on day one of the event. She followed it up with a +1 (73) on Tuesday to claim eighth place at the Estrella Golf Course.
Kam's efforts led the Pack to the top RMAC team finish at the Mustang Intercollegiate. They placed fifth overall with a team score of +26 (602). This was the Pack's best score ever at the Estrella Golf course.
The ThunderWolves have been the top RMAC team finisher at each of their three tournaments this season, making them undefeated against conference foes. A Pack golfer has posted the RMAC's top score at every tournament the team has played in 2018-19.
For Kam this is her first career RMAC Golfer of the Week Award. She is the second ThunderWolf to win a RMAC Golfer of the Award this season. Orakorn Thirayatorn (Sr., Meang Khonkaen, Thailand) earned this honor Sept. 6.
