Pack Women tied for first after day one at RMAC Preview

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (September 17, 2018) – After one round of competition at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Preview, Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Golf sits in a tie for first place at the Tiara Rado golf Course.

The Pack carded a +20 (304) as a team. They share the lead with non-RMAC competitor University of Tampa. The ThunderWolves lead their closest RMAC competitor Westminster College by three strokes.

Courtney Ewing (Sr., Pueblo West, Colo.) ranks second in the field with an even par (71). Ewing has a two stroke advantage over all other RMAC golfers.

RMAC Golfer of the Week Orakorn Thirayatorn (Sr., Meang Khonkaen, Thailand) carded a +4 (75). Thirayatorn ranks 11th in the 88-golfer field. Seven finished with 12 pars and was -1 on par fives.

Jolene Kam (Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia) finished day one in 19th place. Kam shot a +6 (77). She led the field with a -2 mark on par fives.

Rachanok Rahulpan (Sr., Pathumthani, Thailand) completed the scoring for the Pack. Rahulpan carded a +10 (81). She ranks 44th overall. Like Thirayatorn, Rahulpan was even on par threes.

The Pack will look for their second win of the season Tuesday when the RMAC Preview concludes with 18 more holes of play. Tee off at Tiara Rado Golf Course is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Click Here to following along with the tournament.
