ThunderWolves, Porman lead Pack Spring Invite after round one


PUEBLO, Colo. (March 27, 2017) - Senior Jacquelyn Porman (Gilbert, Ariz.) is the leader in the clubhouse after round one of the Pack Spring Invite, as the Colorado State University-Pueblo women's golf team leads their home tournament at Walking Stick Golf Course.

The ThunderWolves combined for a team score of 316 (+28) to own a nine-shot lead on Metro State University of Denver and the other four participating teams.

Porman rolled to a one-over 73 to hold a four-shot lead on second place. She totaled a consistant 15 pars with two bogies and a birdie.

The Pack had three players in the top four, as Courtney Ewing (So., Pueblo West, Colo.) shot a 78 (+6) to sit third and Jolene Kam (So., Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia) posted a first round 79 (+7) to place fourth. Ewing totaled 10 pars and had one of the day's two eagles. Both sophomores were a field-best -2 on par 5's, while Kam tied for the lead in total birdies with three.

Tori Goodman (So., Peyton, Colo.) carded an 86 (+14) to score for the Pack, while Gabby Segura (Fr., Kingwood, Texas) posted an 88 (+16).

The final 18 will be played Tuesday at 9 a.m.
