ThunderWolves season ends at Super Regionals

ELEPHANT BUTTE, N.M.-( 8, 2012)- The rags to riches season has ended for the CSU-Pueblo Women's Golf team at the NCAA Division II Women's Super Regional's.  After winning their first RMAC title, the ThunderWolves were unable to keep their dream season alive.

Making their first ever appearance at the Super Regionals, the Pack fell short of qualifying for the National Tournament when they finished seventh with a team total 1041 and tied with Concordia-St.Paul (MN).  In the team race, Augustana (S.D.) claimed the title with Colorado Mesa and Western New Mexico holding second and third respectively and the bids to the next level.

The ThunderWolves also missed sending an individual to the show.  Domi DiNallo (So., Elephant Butte, N.M.) finished tied for 15th with her three round total of 248, just 4 strokes from securing one of the individual bids into the tournament.

Trisha Vinci (So., Rye, Colo.), (260, 29th place), Julie Sanchez (Fr., Pueblo, Colo.), (266, T36th), and Michaela Breit (Greeley, Colo.), (271, T41st) all performed well in their first appearances for the Pack.  Finishing her collegiate career, Kelly Meldrum (Sr., Gunnison, Colo.), (279, 46th) was able to break into the top 50.
