INDIANAPOLIS (February 22, 2017) – In the second NCAA Regional Rankings, Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Basketball remained No. 1 in the South Central Region with a 23-1 record in D-II games and a 25-1 record overall.
The ThunderWolves lead the rest of the region with 23 in-region victories, 25 overall wins, and a .962 winning percentage. No movement took place in the South Central Region as all 10 teams matched their ranking from a week ago.
CSU-Pueblo celebrated their first outright Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship since 1987-88 with an 80-72 win over Colorado Christian University Saturday night.
The Pack has set a school-record with 19 RMAC wins. They have a chance to break a school record set last season with their 27th win this weekend.
Senior Jaszymn Johnson (Denver, Colo.) ranks 21st in D-II with an 86.9 percent free throw percentage. Johnson stands as the second-best free throw shooter in the RMAC. Her current free throw percentage would set a school record.
Katie Cunningham (Jr., Aurora, Colo.) leads the RMAC with 9.3 rebounds per game. With 15 more boards, she would enter the top 10 single season rebounding totals at CSU-Pueblo.
Tuileisu Anderson (Jr., Vancouver, Wash.) ranks second in the RMAC with 16.6 points per game. Her 70 3-pointers this season is the third highest single-season total in school history, two behind her former teammate and current Assistant Coach Dee Arrieta. Anderson's 144 career 3-pointers ranks fifth all-time at CSU-Pueblo.
With 55 total blocks, Molly Rohrer (So., Greenwood Village, Colo.) leads the RMAC. She ranks 25th nationally. Despite being a sophomore, Rohrer already ranks third in blocks all-time at CSU-Pueblo.
The NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Selection Show is set for Sunday, March 5 at 8 p.m. The selection show will stream live on NCAA.com.
CSU-Pueblo will wrap up the regular season with a two-game road trip this weekend. The Pack will visit Western State Colorado University Friday at 5p.m. CSU-Pueblo concludes its regular season with a trip to Colorado Mesa University Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
The Pack will open the RMAC Tournament at home Tuesday Feb. 28 at 5:30 p.m. CSU-Pueblo Men's Basketball will host its RMAC Shootout Quarterfinals game 30 minutes after the completion of the Pack Women's game. Tickets will go on sale at 12 p.m. Feb. 28.
