INDIANAPOLIS (May 25, 2017) - Five members of the Colorado State University-Pueblo track and field and cross country programs have earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 6, in an announcement from the organization Thursday. Three men and two women were recognized for their efforts in competition and in the classroom.
Representing the men were senior Dante Carter (Las Vegas, Nev.), sophomore Marcelo Laguera (Chihuahua, Mexico) and junior Derrick Williams (Columbia Falls, Mont.). On the women's side, seniors Bailey Hughes (Bigfork, Mont.) and Sydni Riley (Florissant, Colo.) were honored.
Academic All-District® honorees now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America® honorees will be selected later this month.
