COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May 1, 2018) - Colorado State University-Pueblo softball players Michaela Burpee (Jr., Union City, Calif.) and Gabby Moreno (So., Scottsdale, Ariz.) were each selected to All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference First Team announced Tuesday by league officials.
The duo played in every game this season and guided the ThunderWolves offensively.
Burpee finished with the highest batting average on the team (.405) and she recorded 18-multi hit games including five three hit games. Burpee scored 22 runs, 62 hits, 32 RBIs, and had eleven doubles, two triples and three homeruns for the Pack.
She was hit by pitch a whopping fourteen times and had 86 total bases this season. Her .562 slugging percentage and .466 on-base mark was highest on the team. Burpee averaged 1.22 hits/game.
Moreno posted a .383 batting average in leadoff duties for the Pack. She hit three doubles, four triples and had an on-base percentage of .423. Moreno had 17 RBIs and scored 38 runs.
She finished fifth in the RMAC in hits (69) and had 23 multi-hit games including six three-hit contests. She averaged 1.35 hits per game and on the base path went 28-of-29 in stolen base attempts.
The ThunderWolves finished the season 15-36 overall and 13-27 in RMAC play.
