PUEBLO, Colo. (April 20, 2018) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo softball team will play its final road games of the regular season this week and begin a four game RMAC series Saturday at Fort Lewis in Durango, Colo.
The Pack is fresh off of a four game sweep of New Mexico Highlands at Rawlings Softball Complex.
Pitching was key for the ThunderWolves as the duo of K'Lee Kent (Sr., Hobbs, NM) and Hannah Anderson (So., Spokane, Wash.) combined to go 4-0 and post a 1.35 ERA. The hurlers tossed 17 strikeouts and limited the Cowgirls to a .275 batting average.
Piatt smacked her first career homerun, a grand slam in the third game of the series.
Kent hit her team-leading second homerun of the year and collected five hits in the designated player role.
SETTING THE STAGE
Last season CSU-Pueblo swept Fort Lewis in four games played in Pueblo. CSU-Pueblo has won 5-of-6 over FLC dating back to 2016.
Fort Lewis College Skyhawks (13-33, 7-25 RMAC)
Last time on the field: The Skyhawks were swept in four games at UCCS. FLC is led offensively by Angelique Elemen with a .331 batting average. In the circle the Skyhawks are guided by Mandy Lorenson (7-6, 4.20 ERA).
