ThunderWolves welcome CCU for nonconference DH

PUEBLO, Colo. (April 3, 2018) - Colorado State University-Pueblo softball will host Colorado Christian University in a nonconference doubleheader Wednesday starting at 1 p.m. at Rawlings Softball Complex. 

The ThunderWolves and Cougars are making up two games from earlier this season that were postponed. CSU-Pueblo gets back on the diamond and will look to end an eight-game slide against the Cougars.

Sabrina Felix (So., Corona, Calif.) gathered five hits in their home series against UCCS.

CCU comes in winners of eleven of their last twelve games and are receiving votes in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Poll. The Cougars currently sit second in the RMAC standings.

SETTING THE STAGE

Last season CCU won 3-of-4 in a home-home series played against the Pack.

OPPONENT CAPSULES

Colorado Christian University Cougars (30-3, 21-1 RMAC)

            Last time on the field: CCU won two games at Chadron State. Day two was postponed at Chadron due to weather. CCU is led offensively by Charlotte Romero with a .438 batting average. In the circle the Cougars are guided by Kenzie Mattey (17-2, 2.67 ERA) and Jennifer Romero (12-1, 3.72 ERA).
