PUEBLO, Colo. (February 24, 2018) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo softball team is set to open its home schedule Sunday-Monday when they take on Metropolitan State University of Denver to begin Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play at Runyon Field.
The Pack is back on the diamond after being swept in a doubleheader at Colorado Christian. CCU beat the Pack in two run-ruled shortened contests.
The teams will play two games Sunday starting at 12 p.m. and wrap the series Monday at 11 a.m. with another twin bill on the slate.
SETTING THE STAGE
Last season MSU Denver swept the Pack in four games.
Metropolitan State University of Denver Roadrunners (3-9)
Last time on the field: MSUD split two games at home against Montana State-Billings. The Roadrunners are led by Kristyn Peters with a .406 (13-for-32) with three homeruns and two doubles on the young season. In the circle MSUD relies on pitcher Destinee Lopez (1-1, 4.01 ERA).
