Mould recognized as RMAC All-Academic First Team; Abreu on the honor roll


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 25, 2018) - Colorado State University-Pueblo senior David Mould (Upminster Essex, United Kingdom) has been selected as a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic First Team member, as the league office released the men's tennis academic honors for the season.

The award winners, along with the other First Team All-Academic members, were voted on by the conference's sports information directors. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.
All student-athletes that meet those requirements, but were not voted First Team, automatically qualify for Honor Roll.

Sophomore Rafael Abreu (San Paulo, Brazil) was recognized as RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll.

The ThunderWolves went 11-15 this season and were ranked as high as No. 42 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division II rankings. The Pack went 3-3 in RMAC play to earn the No. 3 seed in the RMAC Tournament.

Mould has been hampered with injuries this season, but finished with a 4-7 singles record (1-2 in RMAC) in dual competition and gathered an 11-13 doubles record (3-2 in RMAC). Playing with Thomas Pudney, the team had a 7-7 record (4-7 at No. 1 and 3-0 at No. 2) and was ranked No. 49 in the April 11 ITA national rankings ... Two of his other doubles victories came in RMAC play with Cade Boedeker, who he partnered with the gather All-RMAC Doubles honors. 


GPA: 3.33

RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll .. Finished the season with a 7-9 singles record, which included a 2-2 mark in conference play ... Played at the No. 3-6 positions and earned wins at No. 3 (1-0), No. 5 (3-6) and No. 6 (2-0) ... Posted a 3-1 record in doubles play, which included a 1-1 record in RMAC play ... Went 2-0 at No. 2 and 1-1 at the No. 3 spot.
