COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 28, 2018) - Freshman Thomas Pudney (Southend, United Kingdom) has gathered his second Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week award this season, as the league office announced the honor Wednesday.
Pudney was also RMAC Player of the Week Feb. 14.
Pudney went 2-0 for the ThunderWovles in a match against Division I University of California-Riverside Sunday. He was the lone winner for the Pack in singles play, as he posted a 6-3, 6-4 straight set victory at No. 1. In doubles play, Pudney partnered with David Mould (Sr., Upminster Essex, United Kingdom) at the No. 1 spot and used the tiebreak to win 7-6 (4). CSU-Pueblo lost the match 5-2.
The Pack have three matches this weekend in Lawton, Oklahoma. The ThunderWolves will play Cameron University at 8 a.m. MST and then St. Mary's University at 2 p.m. MST March 2. On March 3, CSU-Pueblo plays Southeastern Oklahoma at 4 p.m. MST.
