Four players honored as All-RMAC Second Team


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 18, 2017) - Four members of the Colorado State University-Pueblo men's tennis team were recognized as All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Second Team Tuesday, as the league doled out its annual awards.

Freshman Nick Wade (Upminister Essex, United Kingdom) highlighted the group, as he earned All-RMAC Second Team singles honors and joined doubles partner David Mould (Jr., Upminister Essex, United Kingdom) as second team doubles. The tandem of James Ryan (Jr., London, England) and Dante Alcala (So., Pueblo, Colo.) were also named second team doubles.

Wade played No. 2 singles during the RMAC slate and posted a 3-2 record. He was 2-4 with Mould, as they played No. 1 doubles all season. The two were ranked No. 10 in the South Central Region in the last ITA poll. The team of Ryan/Alcala posted a 3-3 record.

Mould was also an honorable mention doubles recipient last season.

The ThunderWolves (7-13, 2-4 RMAC) earned the No. 3 seed in the RMAC Tournament, set to begin April 22. The Pack play RMAC Co-Regular Season Champions and No. 2 seed Colorado Mesa (12-11, 5-1 RMAC) at 5 p.m. Saturday with the winner advancing to Sunday's final at 1 p.m.
