PUEBLO, Colo. (March 30, 2017) - Due to Saturday's forecast, the Colorado State University-Pueblo tennis programs have altered their home schedules. The Pack women will now play Arizona Christian University at 10 a.m. at the Pueblo Tennis Center, while the men were forced to move their match with St. Mary's University to 3 p.m. at the Air Force Academy indoor facility.
Before Saturday's match against ACU, the ThunderWolves will travel to play Air Force at 2 p.m. Friday.
Both teams are coming off a road loss at Seward Junior College. The CSU-Pueblo men suffered a 7-2 setback. The No. 1 doubles pair of David Mould (Jr., Upminster Essex, United Kingdom) and Nick Wade (Fr., Upminster Essex, United Kingdom) picked up a 9-8 (won the tiebreak) victory. At No. 6 singles, Dante Alcala (So., Pueblo, Colo.) won 2-6, 6-2, (15-13).
The men's team owns a 5-9 overall record. The Pack were ranked No. 8 in the March 15 ITA South Central Region rankings. The doubles tandem of Mould/Wade are No. 10 regionally.
The women's team fell 8-1 with the No. 3 doubles team getting the lone win. The pair of Kristin Jensen (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Samantha Cachutt (Jr., Caracas, Miranda) won 8-1.
The women have a 3-9 overall record this season.
Both teams remain home April 7 when they host Colorado Mesa University at Pueblo City Park beginning at 2 p.m.
