PUEBLO, Colo. (March 2, 2017) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's tennis team returns to action this week as they trek to Lawton, Oklahoma to compete at No. 16 Cameron University Friday and will wrap up the weekend Saturday versus Seminole State College.
The Pack enter the week ranked sixth in the latest Oracle/ITA South Central Regional Poll and are No. 48 in all of Division II.
The regional ranking is the highest in the conference with Colorado Mesa (7th) and Metro State (9th) in the region.
CSU-Pueblo hits the court after competing against Northern Colorado and Southern Utah University in Greeley, Colo.
The ThunderWolves beat Southern Utah 5-4 behind victories from Nick Wade (Fr., Upminister Essex, United Kingdom) at No. 2 singles, Rafael Abreu (Fr., San Paulo, Brazil) at No. 4 singles, and David Mould (Jr., Upminister Essex, United Kingdom) in No. 5 singles play.
In doubles competition the Mould-Wade duo was victorious in their No. 1 singles match 6-3.
CSU-Pueblo (4-5) opens RMAC play Mar. 11 versus Colorado Christian at 9 a.m. and MSU Denver at 2 p.m. both at Pueblo City Park tennis courts.
As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Colorado State University – Pueblo competes in 22 varsity sports in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics.
