COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - CSU-Pueblo's top doubles player and number-two singles player, Ricardo Oaxaca (Jr., Puebla, Mexico), has been named a first-team selection to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's men's tennis academic all-conference team, the RMAC announced Thursday.
Oaxaca was one of three unanimous first-team selections to the academic all-RMAC team, joining Mesa State's Jordan Chomko and academic player of the year selection, Metro State's Sascha Ruckelshausen.
Oaxaca, a business major, boasts a 3.60 grade-point-average and helped lead the ThunderWolves to its first regional tournament bid since 2004. Oaxaca was 16-7 in 2009 in both singles and doubles play.
