PUEBLO, Colo. (September 22, 2017) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision versus Colorado School of Mines Friday at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
Colorado Mines got on the board early in the games' tenth minute after scoring on one of four corner kick attempts in the half on a ball received by Mines' John Haist.
CSU-Pueblo's Tanner Pile (Fr., Tempe, Ariz.) and Miles Sanchez (So., Bothell, Wash.) each fired two shots and one on goal in the contest.
The Orediggers added two more goals before the 19th minute and took a 3-0 lead into halftime.
The ThunderWolves trailed 4-2 in corner kicks through forty-five minutes.
Into the second half Mines continued to attack the net and fired six shots in the period and converted two goals in the 59th and in the waning 85th minute.
Pack goalkeeper Erich Frey (R-Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) made six saves in full minutes at goalkeeper.
CSU-Pueblo (0-7, 0-3 RMAC) continues its homestand Sunday and host Regis University at 2:30 p.m. following the women's game at noon at Gonzales Stadium.
