DUPONT, Wash. (September 21, 2018) – After 36 holes, Colorado State University-Pueblo Men's Golf stands in fifth place at the Saint Martin Invite at the Home Course.
The Pack shot a +7 (583) on day one of the tournament. CSU-Pueblo collectively carded a +8 (296) in round one, but bounced back with a -1 (287) in the afternoon session.
Fraser Hughes (Sr., Newton Stewart, Scotland, UK) ranks third with a -6 (138) on day one. Hughes hit a -1 (71) on round one. He returned with a -5 (67). The 67 was Hughes' best round of the young season. He will enter day two just three strokes back of the lead.
Nathan McCann (So., Lurgan Armagh, Ireland) played two rounds under par finishing with a -1 (71) in each of his two rounds. McCann finds himself tied for eighth place after day one.
Senior Roy Carlsen (Arvada, Colo.) holds a share of 55th place. He carded a +4 (76) in round one. Carlsen finished round two with a +3 (75).
Taylor Rodriguez (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) matched Carlsen with a +3 (75) in round two. He shot a +6 (78) in round one to finish day one in 71st place.
Austin Shanks (Sr., Wichita, Kan.) counted for the Pack in round two with a +2 (74). Shanks sits in 74th place with a +10 (154) on day one.
The ThunderWolves will look to make moves on day two of the Saint Martin Invite. The Pack will tee off at 9 a.m. (MST) Saturday at the Home Course.
