CHANDLER, Ariz. (April 25, 2017) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's golf team finished fourth at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships Tuesday at the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona. Senior Jake Ice (Tucson, Ariz.) finished tied for fourth to earn RMAC All-Tournament Team honors.
The ThunderWolves posted a five-over 289 Tuesday and finished +14 for the championships (292-285-289--866). University of Colorado Colorado Springs finished first at +9, while Colorado Christian University was second at +12 and Colorado Mesa University was third at +13.
The Pack had three in the top 15, guided by Ice. The senior shot a 70-69-75--214 to finish one-over for the tournament. He finished four-under on Par 5 scoring to sit tied for third best in the field of 45. His 39 pars was the third most.
In his final collegiate round, senior Jacob Allenback (Pueblo, Colo.) posted a 68 (-3) to surge 15 spots to a top 10 finish. He went 74-74-68--216 to finish +3 for the championships and rank tied for ninth. Allenback was six-under on Par 5's to tie for the lead in the field, while his 13 birdies was tied for the second most.
Junior Neil Tillman (Arvada, Colo.) closed the 54-hole tournament at +4 (73-70-74--217) to finish tied for 11th. He led the field in Par 3 scoring at -2.
Senior GJ Kuhn (Ayr, Ontario, Canada) also closed his collegiate career on a personal high note with a one-over 72 Tuesday. He finished the championships tied for 27th with a nine-over 76-74-72--222.
Wrapping up the Pack's top five was lone underclassman, Roy Carlsen (So., Arvada, Colo.). He finished tied for 32nd with an 11-over 75-72-77--224.
