Anderson claims RMAC Academic Player of the Year honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 8, 2018) - Jason Anderson (R-So., C, Colorado Springs, Colo.) was been recognized as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Player of the Year, in an announcement from the league office Thursday. 

Anderson is in his first season with the ThunderWolves after transfering last spring from the Air Force Academy and holds a 3.88 GPA in business managment. 

On the court, the redshirt sophomore has made an immediate impact by starting all 14 games he has played in. In 24.2 minutes per game he is averaging 15 points and a team-best 6.6 reboudns per contest. He is shooting 49.7 percent from the field and adds 1.4 blocks per game. Anderson earned RMAC Player of the Week in his first weekend with the ThunderWolves, as he averaged 26 points and eight rebounds while shooting 76.7 percent from the field.

The ThunderWolves are 10-14 overall with a 7-11 conference record. CSU-Pueblo hosts Westminster College Saturday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
