COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 2, 2017) - Two members of the Colorado State University-Pueblo men's basketball team were recognized for their efforts in the classroom by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Wednesday. Senior Nelson Kahler (Noosa Heads, Australia) earned Academic All-RMAC First Team honors, while senior Stevan Radakovic (Belgrade, Serbia) was a member of the honor roll.
Kahler owns a 3.68 GPA in mass communications. He leads the RMAC and ranks third nationally in blocks with 65. His 3.3 blocks per game sits third in NCAA Division II. The senior is shooting 56.3 percent from the field to rank tied for eighth in the conference. He adds 11.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
Radakovic has a 3.54 GPA in accounting and is a three-time recipient of the Academic All-RMAC Honor Roll award. Coming off the bench, the senior averages 6.5 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. He is shooting 54.3 percent from the field and adds 15 blocks to rank tied for 13th in the RMAC.
The big men and the rest of the Pack play host to Adams State University Friday and No. 14 Fort Lewis College Saturday. Both contests are set for a 7:30 p.m. start. Friday's contest is a WHITE OUT and fans are encouraged to wear white to the game.
Saturday, Denver Nuggets Super Mascot Rocky visits Massari Arena for Take a Kid to the Game Night. All kids 14 and under are FREE and CSU-Pueblo Athletics will provide a kid's zone with face painting, tattoos and autographs from both the Pack basketball programs.
