Pack impressive in season finale victory over Cougars

PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Feb. 25, 2012) - Looking to end the season on a high note, the CSU-Pueblo men's basketball team did just that defeating Colorado Christian 75-57. The Pack led most of the way thanks to a huge first-half effort.

Nine players scored for the Pack, including double-digit efforts from four players. Ty Trahern (Sr., Kit Carson, Colo.) scored a game-high 17 points and Andre Martin (Sr., San Diego, Calif.) added 13 points to go along with seven rebounds.

The Pack led by as many 34 at one point but a slew of 3-pointers and pressure defense helped the Cougars outscore the ThunderWolves by 10 in the second half.

Austin Wenger led the Cougars in scoring finishing with 14 points and while hitting four 3-pointers.

The Pack was excellent shooting the ball going 29-for-50 from the field. The impressive win helped cap off a respectable campaign for first year head coach Ralph Turner, ending the season at 13-13.
