PUEBLO, Colo. (Jan. 2, 2009) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo athletics department is pleased to announce January 3, 2009 as the annual "Buck Night" with the ThunderWolves. "Buck Night" means that all fans attending the games pay $1 for the general admission game ticket. Also, this year, "Buck Night" is also honored at the Massari Arena concession stand. Several food and drink items will only be $1 each.
"We want to use ‘Buck Night' as an opportunity for friends and fans to experience the very best in NCAA Division II basketball in hopes that they'll like it and come back again throughout the rest of the season," said Joe Folda, the CSU-Pueblo athletics director.
"We also want to be able to offer an affordable entertainment option for Puebloans during these tough economic times. A family of four can come out the game and really enjoy themselves for less than $20," said Folda.
On January 3, the ThunderWolves women host the Montana State - Billings Yellowjackets at 6 p.m. at Massari Arena. The ThunderWolves have already tangled with MSU-Billings on November 15 which resulted in the one of the only blemishes to their record this season. The ThunderWolves have since rebounded, winning eight of nine and will look to avenge their loss.
The men will tipoff at 8 p.m. while hosting the UC-Colorado Springs Mountain Lions. The ThunderWolves will look to avenge a loss just two weeks ago in Colorado Springs. A win Saturday would send the ThunderWolves overall record to 5-6.
