CSU-Pueblo Athletics and iHeartMedia continue partnership for radio broadcasts of football and basketball

PUEBLO, Colo. (August 29, 2018) - Colorado State University-Pueblo Athletics has signed a two year contract with iHeartMedia to continue their partnership to provide Pack Nation with home and away radio broadcasts of ThunderWolves football and men's and women's basketball. The deal also includes the airing of The Car Pros John Written Show, starting tonight and continuing every Wednesday during the season at 6 p.m. at ThunderZone Pizza and Taphouse.

"We are excited to announce the extension of our partnership with iHeartRadio," said Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Paul Plinske. "The opportunity to solidify this agreement for the long term and provide the iHeart free broadcast and internet radio platform makes for a strong and unique listening signal for all Pack fans. Our supporters from all over the world can be a part of the action through this internet feed."

The ThunderWolves have partnered with iHeart (Clear Channel became iHeartMedia in 2014) since returning the football program to campus in 2008. The first contest is set for Saturday when the football team hosts Dixie State University at 6 p.m. in a RED OUT at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.

Jim Brooks, The Voice of the ThunderWolves, returns for his 11th season as the play-by-play announcer for the football broadcasts and will again be on the mic for men's and women's basketball. Joe Cervi will join Brooks as the football color analyst for his 11th season in the role.

"We are equally thrilled that both Jim and Joe will be back to provide our fans with a first-class listening experience for ThunderWolves football and basketball fans," Plinske said. These two are 'the best of the best' and I'm so grateful for their continued involvement with CSU-Pueblo Athletics."

The primary station for Pack broadcasts will be AM 1350 Fox Sports Pueblo with some contests aired live on AM 590 KCSJ. iHeartMedia also owns 95.5 FM KPHT in Pueblo and will be utilized for promoting the weekend broadcasts. Fans can listen locally on the radio, online at https://foxsportspueblo.iheart.com or download the iHeart app to their mobile device to listen anywhere around the world.

Home football games can also be heard on the campus radio station, Rev89 (89.5 FM) and online at https://revolution89.com
