PUEBLO, Colo. (June 5, 2017) - Season tickets remain on sale for the 2017 Colorado State University-Pueblo football season, which is set to kickoff Aug. 31 against Colorado School of Mines beginning at 6 p.m. at the Neta & Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.
Season tickets start at just $65 with discounts available for joining the CSU-Pueblo Pack Club. Season ticket renewals continue to July 15. To purchase football season tickets or for more information, contact the CSU-Pueblo Ticket Office at (719) 549-2050 or visit the Massari Arena Ticket Office Monday-Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The ThunderWolves will hold a RED OUT Aug. 31 against the Orediggers, who defeated the Pack in week one last season. The Pack finished the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference season 8-2 and tied with CSM and Colorado Mesa University for the league championship.
CSU-Pueblo then goes on the road for its next three contests. The ThunderWolves will play their lone nonconference game against West Texas A&M University, Sept. 9 at 5 p.m. MT. The meeting will be the fourth straight meeting between the squads, but this time it will have some extra hype. During the offseason former Pack defensive coordinator Hunter Hughes took the head coach position with the Buffs and begins his first season at the helm. CSU-Pueblo has lost two straight to WT, which includes a home loss in 2016.
Next the ThunderWolves continue RMAC play at South Dakota Mines Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. and at New Mexico Highlands University Sept. 23 at 12 p.m. CSU-Pueblo totaled 98 points in two victories against the Hardrockers and Cowboys last season and allowed just 16 points.
The Pack host Colorado Mesa Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. after falling to the Mavericks last season 20-19 in Grand Junction, Colorado. The day game will also serve as Band Day.
After the loss to CMU the ThunderWolves rattled off six straight wins to end the regular season, which started with a 56-12 victory at Adams State University. The Pack will host the Grizzlies Oct. 7 in the annual Homecoming/CSU-Pueblo Athletics Hall of Fame Game. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. with a plethora of special events surrounding the weekend.
The ThunderWolves then play their solo road game of the month of October when they travel to Fort Lewis College Oct. 14 at 12 p.m.
The Pack return home to battle Black Hills State University Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. and then close the home slate Oct. 28 against Western State Colorado University. The 21st will be Family Day at the ThunderBowl, while the 28th serves as Military Appreciation Day and Senior Day.
The final two regular season games will be played on the road. On Nov. 4 CSU-Pueblo will travel to battle RMAC newcomer Dixie State University at 1 p.m. The ThunderWolves defeated the Trailblazeres 24-13 last season in Pueblo.
Finally, the Pack travel to Chadron State College Nov. 11 for a 12 p.m. kickoff.
