PUEBLO, Colo. (May 11, 2017) - Former Colorado State University-Pueblo football wide receiver Larry Clark (Los Angeles, Calif.) has earned an invitation to participate at the Rookie Minicamp of the National Football League's Arizona Cardinals, set for May 12-14.
Clark spent one season with the ThunderWolves in 2016 after beginning his career at San Diego State University. He only played in five games for the Pack, but finished second on the team in receptions with 22. Clark totaled 248 yards (third on the team) for four touchdowns, which tied for a team high. As a senior he averaged 11.3 yards per reception and had a long catch for 37 yards. His 49.6 yards per game also led the ThunderWolves.
Since 2008 when the program returned, 17 athletes have earned a shot at the NFL with either a rookie mini-camp invitation, training camp invitation or an undrafted free agent signing. Last week, Clark's former teammate Brock Davies participated at the New England Patriots Rookie Minicamp.
The ThunderWolves have three players currently on NFL rosters in Ryan Jensen (Baltimore Ravens), Mike Pennel (New York Jets) and Morgan Fox (LA Rams). Three more are on on Canadian Football League rosters (CJ Roberts and Kieren Duncan with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Darius Allen with the BC Lions), while two more are currently competing in the Arena Football League (Paul Browning and Chris Bonner).
The ThunderWolves secured the program's sixth RMAC Championship in 2016 with an 8-2 record. The Pack finished 8-3 overall and have totaled eight or more wins in each of the last seven seasons.
