PUEBLO, Colo. (November 8, 2017) – For the 25th consecutive year, Colorado State University-Pueblo Baseball will host its annual Christmas Camp. Pack Baseball will also pair with CSU-Pueblo Softball to run their annual Baseball and Softball Academy. Both the Baseball Christmas Camp and Academy will be held at the Livestock Pavilion at the Colorado State Fairgrounds.
The Pack's Christmas Camp will start Wednesday Dec.20 and continue through Friday Dec. 22 and runs from 9 a.m. – 12p.m. each day. This camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-16 who want to improve their baseball skills.
CSU-Pueblo Baseball and Softball's Academy is open from Dec. 4, 2017 through March 4, 2018. The Academy offers open training times from 6-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday. There are also weekend times available from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Saturdays and 3- 6 p.m. Sundays. The academy offers open training for people of all ages.
Training for all three months at the Academy costs just $150 per person. Monthly training costs $75. Discounts are available for small groups or teams for the full three month training package.
Pack Baseball's Christmas camp costs $75. Discounts are available for families, teams or military families. Camp awards will include MOST IMPROVED, GOLDEN GLOVE, BIG STICK, TEAM MVP, ARM STRENGTH, and FASTEST CAMPERS.
Head Coaches Christie Koschke and Stan Sanchez will lead the Academy. Koschke is a former standout pitcher at Brigham Young University . She has led the Pack to 126 wins in her five seasons at the helm.
Sanchez has been the Head Coach of the Pack since the restart of the program in 1994. Last season, he became the first coach in RMAC history to reach 800 wins. Sanchez is only the 21st coach in D-II history to reach this plateau. His 807 wins ranks ninth among active managers.
