PUEBLO, Colo. (April 27, 2017) – Colorado State University-Pueblo will host its annual Pack the Park event Friday April 28 at Runyon Field in downtown Pueblo. The event will feature a Youth Clinic at 5 p.m. followed by CSU-Pueblo Baseball playing University of Colorado Colorado Springs at 7:05 p.m. Admission for both events is free.
The weekend series will now begin at 12 p.m. Friday with a nine-inning game at Rawlings Field. The Pack will then head to Runyon Field for the Youth Clinic and evening seven-inning game.
The doubleheader scheduled for Saturday will now be moved to Sunday beginning at 12 p.m. at Rawlings Field.
Fantastic prizes will be given out at Friday night's game against the Mountain Lions courtesy of Art & Lorraine Gonzales. These prizes include brand new HD TVs, Apple products, and speakers.
Youth clinic participants will receive a free T-Shirt and instruction in baseball/softball from the CSU-Pueblo Baseball, coaches and staff. These youth clinic participants will be recognized during a parade around Runyon Field before first pitch of the Pack's game with UCCS.
Registration for the Pack the Park youth clinic is closed.
CSU-Pueblo will also honor its 16 seniors Friday night, as they begin their final home series with the ThunderWolves. Admission for the Pack the Park showdown between Steel & Silver Rivals is free.
