Pack second baseman becomes first ThunderWolf since 2009 to garner All-American honors.
MARSHALL, Minn. (GoThunderWolves.com - May 25, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo second baseman Chase Lacomb (Jr., Las Vegas, Nev.) became the first ThunderWolf since 2009 to garner All-American honors when he was named an honorable mention All-American by Daktronics Friday.
With the announcement, Lacomb becomes the first All-American since 2009 when former Pack player Jason Fobes received the recognition as an outfielder.
Lacomb, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Year, hit .390 in 2012 with a .529 on-base-percentage, highest in the RMAC and second-highest of any player in the Central Region. He also secured the 2012 Rawlings Central Region Gold Glove Award for the second straight season and is eligible to capture his second straight National Gold Glove Award after winning the award in 2011.
