What is the Spank?
The Spank Blasing 5K/10K Run & Fun Walk promotes a healthy family lifestyle, exercise, fitness, and higher education. 

The 5K & 10K run, and two-mile walk is conducted around the CSU-Pueblo campus and the Belmont neighborhood.  Participants are taught proper warm-up exercises, are invited to attend a health fair held in conjunction with the Spank, and are fed a nutritious, post-walk breakfast.
The late James “Spank” Blasing was a long-time track, football and assistant athletic director at CSU-Pueblo dating back to when the school was a junior college.  He touched the life’s of hundreds of student-athletes, pushing them both academically and athletically to heights they never thought they could ever achieve.
