PUEBLO, Colo. (October 3, 2018) - Colorado State University-Pueblo's Mackenzie Bean (Sr., Bothell, Wash.) and Austin Micci (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Mobile Record Shredders.
Mackenzie Bean tallied five points on two goals and an assist in CSU-Pueblo's only game of the week, a 4-0 win at New Mexico Highlands.
Bean fired three shots on goal and had a game-high four shots. It is Bean's fourth career multi-goal game and her third goal scored in two games.
The Pack limited NMHU to seven shots, second lowest mark of the season.
As a team the ThunderWolves have scored eight goals in the last two outings.
On the men's side, Micci finished with 151 total yards of offense in the 41-14 homecoming win against South Dakota Mines.
For the second time in his career he recorded receiving and rushing touchdowns. The junior running back established career-highs in receptions with five and receiving yards of 99. His long reception went for a 48-yard catch and run to the end zone.
On 10 rushing attempts Micci totaled 52 yards to average 5.2 yards per carry. He recorded a two-yard rushing touchdown and his long rush went for 24 yards.
Next for the women's soccer team they travel and play Friday at Black Hills State and Sunday at Regis.
The No. 15 Pack football team hosts New Mexico Highlands Saturday at 6 p.m. at Neta & Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.
