Hurricane Harvey Relief Video
PUEBLO, Colo. (August 29, 2017) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Athletics in conjunction with the CSU-Pueblo Associated Student's Government will be conducting a drive Thursday Aug. 31 to benefit the victims of Hurricane Harvey . Fans attending Thursday's home football opener against Colorado School of Mines are encouraged to bring food, toiletry, and clothing items along with cases of water to the Neta & Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl for the game. Items will be collected at the alumni tailgate area on top of the Leomiti Warrior Center. According to Forbes "No hurricane, typhoon, or tropical storm, in all of recorded history, has dropped as much water on a single major city as Hurricane Harvey is in the process of doing right now in Houston." The damage of Hurricane Harvey has been anticipated to exceed more than one billion dollars. Thousands of people have been displaced and 82,000 homes currently sit without power. Associated Student Government (ASG) will be collecting more items throughout the week in the Student Engagement and Leadership office on the 2nd floor of the LARC. Fans are encouraged to donate at any time in support of the cause.
