Rohde and Smith named Pack Athletes of the Week presented by Mobile Record Shredders

PUEBLO, Colo. (February 21, 2018) - Colorado State University-Pueblo's Arianna Rohde (Jr., Anchorage, Alaska) and Josh Smith (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Mobile Record Shredders.

Rohde swam a record breaking time of 57.91 in the 100 fly prelims to qualify for the B finals. Her time broke Magda Contreras Gomez's school record of 58.01 set two years ago at the RMAC Championships. Rohde placed 11th in the finals with a time of 58.80 to score five points for the Pack.

In addition to her individual performance, Rohde helped the Pack's 400 medley relay team to a seventh place finish.

Rohde swam the second fastest 200 back time in school history with a time of 2:09.85. She finished 14th to claim three points for the Pack.

Rohde finished as the Pack's top point scorer with 20 individual points.

On the men's side, Smith scored a career high 26 points, backed by a career-best seven 3-pointers, to surpass 1,000 points in his career in a 100-78 victory at Colorado Christian.

Smith knocked down his sixth 3-pointer of the evening early in the second half to become the 23rd member of the ThunderWolves men's basketball program to reach the milestone. He is the second student-athlete to reach the fete this season, as fellow senior Will Newman (Hawthorne, Calif.) achieved the honor before the holiday break.

With the seven 3-pointers, Smith now has 240 career buckets from beyond the arc to rank fourth all-time at CSU-Pueblo.

CSU-Pueblo Swim & Dive set three school records at the RMAC Championships. The Pack had 12 times that rank in the top five in school history.

The Pack hoops team still has a path to the postseason, but will need two victories to have a chance. CSU-Pueblo will also need either University of Colorado Colorado Springs or New Mexico Highlands University to lose both its contests next week.
