ThunderWolves SAAC holding a food drive in November to benefit Pack Pantry

PUEBLO, Colo. (November 2, 2017) –  The Colorado State University-Pueblo Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will hold a food drive for the entire month of November to benefit the Pack Pantry. Donations will be accepted at the Athletic Department's main office located in Massari Arena.

Fans can also donate items at the Pack's two home basketball tournaments this month, the Conference Challenge and the Al Kaly Shrine Classic. The Conference Challenge will held Nov. 10-11, while the 34th Annual Al Kaly Shrine Classic takes place Nov. 17-18. Fans who donate items at either event will receive $1 off admission to these tournaments.

The mission of the Pack Pantry is to provide food and personal hygiene items to students, faculty, and staff of the CSU-Pueblo campus during financial hard-times. Pack Pantry is currently asking for non-perishable and canned food items.  This is their Top 10 need items:

·      Pasta

·      Rice

·      Peanut Butter and/or Jelly​

·      Tuna

·      Chicken

·      Top Ramen

·      Macaroni and Cheese

·      Cans of Fruit

·      Feminine Hygiene Products

·      Hygiene Items (Toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, detergent, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.)

Additional sealed packaged food items will be accepted as well. Fans will receive $1 off of admission to these basketball tournaments regardless of the number of items they donate.
